The Brief
Scottish Autism approached Design Hero to develop their “Learning Pathways” system; an interactive online system for to chart the many career paths available within Scottish Autism and give users a way to browse and visualize their career development route.
As a solution, Design Hero web developers created an online course booking system which would tie-in with SA’s existing systemsand provide an interactive experience for staff and users.
We worked closely with the Scottish Autism team to develop a technical brief, define the scope of the project, and work together to achieve an outcome which aligned closely with SA’s goals.

The new website is a seamless, minimalist experience which syncs with Scottish Autism’s existing systems.
The user signs in with a single login and is directed to view the courses available.

The user can browse the whole course list, which is synced automatically from SA’s database. The user can search and filter by many parameteres to fully explore all the training options availble to them
An inhouse tool for career progression
A snapshot of the user’s course choices and progression are stored in a persistent profile page, which can be printed, or sent automatically to a career supervisor for discussion during a face to face meeting.

The new online course platform presents the information in a clean, minimalist format, in keeping with Scottish Autism brand and colours, with gamified elements to encourage user exploration and career progression.
