Web Development for a sports website in Greenock
The Brief
Bubble Soccer is an exciting new sport which is sweeping across Scotland.
Bubble Soccer Scotland operates from Inverclyde catering to players from Greenock, Gourock and Port Glasgow with friendly and action-packed matches where participants play football enclosed in inflatable bubbles, making a simple sport into something even more fun!
Gary asked Design Hero to create a new website for Bubble Soccer Scotland to advertise some of this madness and fun.
As the sport grew the website grew with the business.
I developed the website functionality to let Gary handle online enquiries and expand the range of sports that Gary had to offer.
Eventually, the website grew to take online enquiries, handle deposits, feature different events and more.

A surprising new sport develops its website to take online booking enquiries to aid explosive growth
Bubble World Scotland quickly grew to England, and then to the rest of the world.
The Bubble Soccer Scotland brand needed a new name to go with the new territory.
Gary asked me to adapt and digitalize his existing logo to each locality.

Sports Events web development
Hexagons and angled lines were used to break up the order of the site, with a gallery, a news feed, contact form and information on the company and locations included.
It had to attract as many new customers as possible for the new venue opening in Inverclyde, drawing from potential markets in Greenock, Port Glasgow and Gourock.
The website was originally designed as a brochure site to explain the sport and show fun chaotic nature of the activities.
The initial website brief for Bubble Soccer was a few pages of information about the business and a gallery.
But pretty soon Bubble Soccer Scotland grew from a few locations around Greenock to venues across Scotland.

and grew…
and grew…
Pretty Soon Bubble Soccer Scotland became Bubble Soccer England, then Bubble Soccer World.
And the site grew with it.
As the business grew I adapted the website into a booking enquiry site so that Gary could handle enquiries online through the website.
The original website was 4 pages,
The website now measures over 3000 pages!
Homepage
Design Hero used elements from the logo to create tile thumbnails to navigate the website. From the homepage the user is invited to visit the various pages of the website. In the background full page photography is used to present an action packed image of the sport on every page.
About
This page captures the spirit of the company with information on bookings and FAQs presented in a visual manner, along with media promoting Bubble Soccer as an activity.
Media Gallery
Bubble Soccer Scotland asked for Design Hero to allow for displaying media from events all over Scotland, including their main venues in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Greenock. Each thumbnail expands into a lightbox overlay to give a better view with a short description included.
Events
Design Hero created an updating events page with each article presented in an offset hexagon to break up the grid and introduce some chaos to the site
Venues
The site quickly grew to accommodate booking enquiries. Each location is presented in its own tile, with address and pricing in a neat hierarchy. Each tile links to a google map location of Bubble Soccer Scotland’s facilities.
Booking Enquiries
Design Hero created a contact form for Bubble Soccer Scotland which allows users to contact the business directly by entering their details which are forwarded to the client’s email server.
